QUESTION:

I am puzzled over a few points in regards to Messiah being YAHWEH.

First of all, Messiah was given all things by YAHWEH and inherits the nations. (Psalm 2:7-8) If He is ALMIGHTY YAHWEH the ETERNAL, how does He inherit something, seeing He would already have all things?

Also, when Stephen was being martyred, he looked heavenward and saw the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of Yahweh. If Messiah is Yahweh, how can he sit at the right hand of Yahweh?

ANSWER:

Yahshua is indeed a part of Yahweh, as is revealed in His Name: "Yah (our) Salvation". It must be understood though that there are different aspects of Yahweh, just as you have different aspects (e.g. a head, a heart, arms, legs, etc.) Your arm is not your head, your mouth is not your ear, etc., BUT, your arm is you, just as much as your head is you.

Messiyah is an aspect/dimension of Yahweh. He is the body/personification of Yahweh, the express image of His essence. (Heb 1:3) It can be explained in this way: The Father is the soul of Yahweh, the Son is the body of Yahweh, and the Spirit is obviously the spirit of Yahweh; much like you have a body, soul, and spirit. Now your spirit has different qualities than your body does, and your soul has its own distinct qualities as well.

The fact that Yahweh the Father gave to Yahweh the Son all things does not mean that Yahweh the Son is not Elohim. It is a poetic way of saying that:

1. Yahweh (the Father) and Yahshua (Yahweh the Son) created the world together. (Refer to Gen. 1:26 and John 1:1-3.)

2. Yahweh the Father, knowing that He would be creating man to whom He would desire to reveal Himself, "brought forth" a bodily manifestation of Himself to be revealed to man. This was the light of Genesis 1:3. (See also John 8:12.) This was the aspect of Yahweh who walked and talked with Adam and his wife in the garden (Gen. 3:8), for no man hath ever seen the Father aspect of Yahweh, but the Son dimension of Yahweh, truly He hath revealed the Father. (John 1:18; Heb. 1:3; John 14:6-11) This does not at all mean that Yahshua is not eternal; it merely means that the manifestation of Yahweh which was dwelling in Yahweh's bosom (John 1:18) was brought forth at creation (Psalm 2:7) to be revealed to the first man and woman whom Yahweh created. This manifestation returns to Yahweh's bosom whenever He is not physically revealing Himself, and that is where He is even now. (John 1:18). Of course, there are different poetic expressions describing Yahshua's abode with Yahweh the Father in the heavens. Another one is that He is on Yahweh's right hand (that is, at Yahweh's right side), which coordinates perfectly with the Scriptural theme that He is Yahweh's Arm. (Isaiah 53:1) As the Arm, we see that He is definitely a part of Yahweh, more specifically, the physical manifestation of Yahweh that works on earth down through the ages to reveal Yahweh the Father.

3. The Son having the function of revealing Yahweh in bodily form on earth, Yahweh the Father commits to Him all of creation. This in no way undermines His deity or the fact that He is part of Yahweh. It merely describes His function and purpose, shows that He and the Father work in perfect harmony (John 17:10), and furthermore proves that He is part of Yahweh, as we know that Yahweh would not give all things into the hands of a mere man. He doesn't even give such honors to the heavenly messengers. (See Hebrews 1:5) How much more would He not give them to a man. But to His own Son, His right arm, His bodily form? Certainly.

There is obviously a distinction between the body of Yahweh (the Son) and the soul of Yahweh (the Father). Yahweh prophecied that His chosen prophet (Yahshua) would speak the words that were put in His mouth by the Father (Deut. 18:18). Yahshua in turn declared that the words which He spoke were not His own, but the words of His Father who had sent Him. (John 14:24) The body of Yahweh (the Son) is in complete submission to the soul of Yahweh (the Father).

Scripture says, "Hear O Yisrael, Yahweh our Elohim, Yahweh is One." (Deuteronomy 6:4) Thus, we see that there is ONE Elohim whom we serve, not a trinity of multiple elohims / personalities as Christianity implies. Scripture also tells us that YAHWEH will not give His esteem to another (Isaiah 42:8), and that there IS NO SAVIOR BESIDE HIM (Isaiah 43:11). Therefore, we see that Yahshua HAS TO BE a part of Yahweh (that is, the body/manifestation of Yahweh), since 1) We read in Hebrews 1:3 that Yahshua IS the brightness of Yahweh's ESTEEM, and 2) Of course we know that Yahshua is our Savior. This is only possible though, if Yahshua is YAHWEH (our) SALVATION. Otherwise, we have TaNaK and Apostolic Scriptures contradicting each other and we have just done away with Yahshua.
