What happens to us when we die? Do we go right to heaven? ANSWER: Scripture says, "No man hath seen the Father at any time; the only begotten Son which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him." (John 1:18) Hebrews 11 also tells us of many faithful patriarchs who died, concluding, "These all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise, Elohim having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect." (Hebrews 11:39-40) Both of these Scriptures reveal that nobody dies and immediately "goes to Heaven", because in that case, many individuals thus far would have seen the Father (which would be in direct contrast to what John 1:18 says), and all the people who have preceded us would have received the promise without us, whereas Hebrews 11 declares that Elohim saw better for them to not be made perfect yet without us. 1 Thessalonians likewise reveals the following to us: "For the Master Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of Yahweh, and the dead in the Messiyah shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Master in the air: and so shall we ever be with Yahweh." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) This Scripture clearly reveals that we will all meet our Master in the air at one time, as He is bringing His Kingdom down to earth. Also refer to Revelations 21:1-6. The language used in these verses greatly indicates that we all together are granted the privilege and tremendous blessing of entering His celestial tabernacle. This is a treasure that Yahweh has been long preparing for us, and Scripture seems very clear on the fact that He wants us all to experience it together. How wonderful!!!!! |
